It required an hour of wrestling with ice and heavy canvas but I managed to re-erect the tent alone. It was foggy and 25F but the effort had me stripped down to a T-shirt. The tent suffered one long corner tear but otherwise it was undamaged (aside from half the steel poles folding).
After the tent was up I immediately setup our new ’Three-Dog Stove’ built by the folks at Four Dog Stove. The stove setup required no tools & came with everything I needed including a nifty telescoping flue; I had it ready to light in 10 minutes. Sweat was turning cold, but the tent and I were warm and drying out within twenty minutes of lighting the stove fire. The following day, I started to lay down the new cedar decking (photo above) and added some slats to the ceiling for extra strength.
